Condoms: the Vatican position

The New York Times recently reported that the Vatican is now considering allowing the usage of condoms on special circumstance, namely for a married couple when one partner is infected with HIV.
This would be a very bold move by Pope Benedict XVI who has remained controversial free since his ordination. However, even as the Vatican is just getting report on whether the condom usage should be permitted, all sides are getting warmed up about this debated. Where the endorsement of condom usage, even with limited to AIDS prevention among married couple, could be interpreted as the church saying OK to condom usage, thus undermining the teaching on sexuality and marriage. On the other hand, AIDS kill, and the church's doctrine is to value life.
It's a complicated issue amongst the conservatives, but we simply just think that condom usage to prevent HIV makes sense.
